Minister to the Children of God

This last week has pretty good. On Monday we had P-day as a zone and we had lunch where we made hamburgers and french fries but the gas stove for the oven for the church did not work and so it took 4 hours to cook lunch. It took a lot of time but was good. I was able to go buy protein and it is a very good flavor, peanut butter cookie. 

Last Wednesday we had interviews with President Amato. It is always good to see him, and I always like seeing him for interviews because we can talk about everything, and he is just a very loving, amazing man. 

Last Thursday we had Zone Conference and Elder Montoya of the Seventy came and he gave us a speech and it was very good. He talked to us about  the children of God  and he helped us understand as missionaries that we need to minister to everyone that is here in Peru. And that we need to think as Jesus would think, act as He acts and do as Jesus would do. I think this is very important to remember not just for missionaries but for everyone in  the church. 

On Friday we had leadership meeting with Elder Montoya again and it was very good. Elder Montoya talked to us about how we can be kind to others and pray for them. 

Today for P-Day, I was able to see Coach Stevens. He is in Lima for business and he happened to be staying in my area and his hotel was only 5 minutes from our apartment. We met at Dominoes, and he bought pizza for my companion and myself. It was very cool to see him. Coach Stevens was my 9th grade basketball coach in High School.
